Heinz Matysik

Principal

Heinz is a Cook Islander and Principal of the Cook Islands law firm Matysik & Marshall P.C. Before returning to the Cook Islands to live in 2009, Heinz worked as a lawyer in New Zealand and for a leading international US law firm, in London, Frankfurt and Munich. He has extensive experience in banking and finance, commercial and corporate law, and conveyancing.

Heinz is a Chambers and Partners Global ranked lawyer for the Pacific Islands. He is also the Chair of the Cook Islands National Superannuation Fund board, Chair of Capital Security Bank Limited, and an independent director of Southpac Trust Limited. Heinz has previously sat on the board of the Cook Islands Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC). He is currently the Honorary Consul for the Federal Republic of Germany to the Cook Islands.

Heinz has a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws (First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland and is a full member of The Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners (STEP).
