Sean Smith

Sean is a Cook Islander who completed his secondary and tertiary education in New Zealand. After leaving Rarotonga to board at King’s College in Auckland for 5 years, he went on to attend the University of Otago, completing a Bachelor of Arts (politics major) in 2013 and a Bachelor of Laws in 2016.
Sean moved back to Rarotonga in November 2016 where he began his legal career with Matysik & Marshall P.C. Sean was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of the Cook Islands in March 2017.
A former Cook Islands representative rugby player, Sean has previously served as the President of the Cook Islands Rugby Union.
